Successful Applications of Learning Technologies (SALT)

Friday, February 10, 2012

The integration of learning technologies is about more than simply using computers in a class. It is also about transforming how we do what we do and better preparing our students to teach in technologically-rich schools. The faculty members involved recognize the intrinsic value of a broad, sustained dialog as a meaningful way of supporting those who grapple with the issues of integrating technology into teaching and learning. We realize that doing so requires extending the conversation to include members of the broader college community, as well as our partners in K-12 schools and community colleges.

The intent of this project is to support program development using emerging technologies to create distributed communities of practice that support our students -- particularly, those off-campus -- as they learn and develop in our programs and beyond. Applicants also are encouraged to consider the ways proposed activities will provide residual benefits within on-campus experiences.
