Advanced Licensure by the North Carolina State Department of Public Instruction

Students who complete our 60 semester hour graduate program are eligible for advanced licensure through the NC State DPI. This credential results in a higher pay grade (currently $126 more per month) in the NC schools, compared to speech language pathologists with standard DPI licensure. ASU's graduate program in Communication Disorders is one of only three schools in North Carolina that is authorized to certify eligibility for advanced licensure.
