What You Need to Do

Early First Semester of Graduate School

Sequence of Study, Intro to ASHA KASA

Meet with your advisor to develop a plan to meet any ASHA certification requirements not addressed by your sequence of study

Plan Clinical Observations

ASHA requires 25 hours of clinical observation as a condition for clinical certification. If you did not complete the required observation as part of your undergraduate program, you'll need to do so during your first semester of graduate school. More information about observation opportunities will be provided at orientation.

Grad School Forms: Admission to Candidacy and Program of Study

Obtain forms from the Graduate School Forms Page . Complete the forms using your sequence of study as a guide. Meet with your advisor if you have questions about completing the forms. Sign and submit the form to your advisor for approval. Your advisor will then obtain necessary signatures and submit the form to the graduate school. You will be notified by the graduate school when the forms have been approved.
