Masters in School Administration (433A)
Resources
Prerequisites: A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, a North Carolina "A" or "M" license or its equivalent from another state, three years successful professional experience in K-12 school setting, GRE or MAT scores, and approval of the Admissions Committee and the chairperson of the department are required.
Basic Criteria for Consideration: Consideration for admission to the MSA program is based upon four elements: scores on the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or the Miller Analogies Test (MAT); undergraduate GPA; assessment of a writing sample (Click here for MSA questionnaire); and assessment of three qualified references. Points are assigned by the program faculty during their review of each element, and the total score will be used to determine an applicant’s eligibility for unconditional admission. Specific point values and minimum qualifying scores may be found below. Meeting the minimum qualifying score does not guarantee admission, only consideration for unconditional admission.
Other Criteria include: letter from principal or school system superintendent supporting candidate's internship and an interview upon request.
