Developmental Education - 455D

The purpose of this program is to prepare persons for teaching or administrative positions serving underprepared remedial/developmental students in colleges and universities.  Particular attention is given to the knowledge and skills associated with the developmental needs of academically underprepared students.  In addition to the work taken in professional education, students are required to take an eighteen graduate hour concentration in a teaching area or in counseling.

Electives: Students should select electives bases on career interests and with the advice and approval of the graduate advisor. Students that are writing a thesis should select two elective courses for a total of 6 elective hours. Students who are not writing a thesis should select three elective courses for a total of 9 elective hours.
