A completed application consists of the following:
- A completed application form submitted with $45.00;
- A current curriculum vitae;
- A Graduate Record Examination (GRE) transcript, validating a competitive score on each subsection of the exam;
- An official transcript of all college degrees awarded, including the baccalaureate;
- A letter of intent expressing goals for enrolling in the program;
- Evidence of a minimum of three years of appropriate work experience as a professional educator; and
- Four reference statements, including one from an administrator where you work and three from professional sources qualified to speak to your leadership ability and potential.
- Applicants should arrange to come to campus for an interview with the Director of the Doctoral Program prior to the deadline for applications.
Apply early! It frequently takes up to two months to receive GRE scores, reference statements, and transcripts of previous academic work.
Completed applications should be submitted to the Cratis D.Williams Graduate School by March 1 of each year. All complete applications submitted by the March 1 deadline are acted upon by April 1. Twelve to fourteen applicants are admitted into the program each summer. Submission of a complete application and meeting of minimum requirements does not automatically grant admission to the Doctoral Program. Often more applications are received than can be honored.
