Department of Curriculum and Instruction Overview

Prof Jeff Goodman and StudentThe Department of Curriculum and Instruction offers undergraduate degrees in business education, elementary education (K-6), health education, marketing education, and middle grades education (6-9). The department also works with other departments across campus that offer teaching majors which lead to undergraduate certification at the K-12 and secondary school levels (grades 9-12). Undergraduate teaching majors must meet all the requirements for admission to the Reich College of Education. The Teacher Education admission application is available online. Masters of Arts degrees are available in the areas of elementary education (K-6), educational media, curriculum specialist, and middle grades education (6-9). The department also offers courses which are taken by candidates in other graduate programs (secondary and K-12) across campus who are seeking advanced licensure.
